My book, My toy, My ball...

Yep, Janie's new favorite word is "Mine" or "My ______". Too funny! 

Sharing--such a hard concept for little ones. Lexie wants EVERYTHING Janie has-whatever it is, doesn't matter, she wants it. Then Janie starts with the "No, Lexie--MMMIIINNNEEE" Yep, and she screams it. 

Sometimes Lexie turns to me and begins to cry--poor thing. Other times, she screams right back and pulls it out of Janie's hand....oh my! Mommy has fun playing toy referee. 

I have some tactics that I am using..but let's face it, they are 1 and 2. They are going to want the same things their entire life. I am having visions of fights over clothes, make-up, jewelry, boys---oh.my.goodness.

I'll try not to think about it right now...instead I'll focus on the upcoming weekend. Love the weekends with my girls! 

Happy St. Patrick's Day

So trying to take a decent picture of my 2 little leprechauns is like chasing after that pot of gold at the end of the rainbow....(Silly I know--but I couldn't resist a little shamrock humor today).

So this morning before we left for the day I tried really hard to get a picture of the girls together for thier first St. Patrick's Day together....didn't work out so well. See evidence below!

This was the best picture I could get this morning....

So, I decided to try again this afternoon after we got home!  Surely we can get at least one good picture of the girls together (ha, ha). They are both moving targets--soooooo full of energy!

Got it! Here is the pot of gold! A picture of both girls at the same time!! Well, it's the best I could do. At least they are both sitting still!

Finally, A Tooth!!

Lexie got her first tooth today (finally). She is just over 13 months old and I was beginning to wonder if I was going to have to get her some false teeth! One of her bottom teeth broke thru today! Yippeee!!

My Girls!

Janie and Lexie are so much alike in so many ways....but they are so different in so many ways! They each have thier own little personality and special traits. Then sometimes it amazes me how they are identical. Each day is a blessing. Each day is an adventure. And each day I fall more in love with each of them! 

My special girls.....

They make me smile. 

They make me cry. 

They make me laugh. 

They make me sigh.

But mostly, they make me a better person. 

I am such a better person now that they are in my life.

For fun, I went back and compared some pictures. I could post many, many, many more like this. Especially since Lexie is wearing many of Janie hand-me-downs and they are playing with the same toys...Sometimes I look at Lexie and it seems like I am having deja vu from a year ago (or however you spell that).

Even though they look so much alike, I try really, really, really, really hard not to let people compare them. I do not dress them alike. I do not say Janie looks like Lexie or Lexie looks like Janie. Instead I say that they look alike since they are sisters. I try to encourage them to be individuals. They are both so special in thier own unique way!!
